Created by the Vegetarian Society, NVW is the UK’s annual awareness-raising campaign promoting inspirational vegetarian food and the benefits of a meat-free lifestyle.

Celebrated since 1992, it gives kitchen goddesses, schools and organisations the chance to give vegetarianism a go and try out new foods that they may not necessarily have tasted beforehand.

Grab your Aprons and learn how to enjoy a satisfying meal that tickles the taste buds without meat with the help of Ulster Weavers. There are a huge variety of culinary vegetables and fruit to choose from so every dish is unique including cabbage, aubergine, mushroom, cress, turnip, broccoli, courgette, tomato, pepper and more. Experiment with edible plants and seeds galore and get some healthy foods into your diet!

It only takes 10 minutes to prepare and 45 minutes to cook, so have fun flavouring the dish however spicy you want from creamy kale risotto to tangy olive tapenade.
