These days’ celebrities are taking on more and more roles to make money. No longer is someone famous just for being an actor, or a singer, but to be a complete brand and versatile.

Models are becoming actresses, singers are launching perfume products, and reality stars are becoming authors. So it is no surprise that celebs are lending their hand to the fashion world and designing their very own shopping bag ranges.

Personalities such as Victoria Beckham, Natalie Imbruglia and even the Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife are jumping on board the accessories trend and lending their eye of creativity to sell bags; be it Canvas Shopping Bags, leather, cotton, or PVC Bags.

Notting Hill Cupcake Shopping Bag

The Australian singer-songwriter Natalie Imbruglia designed her very own limited edition cotton bag range that was cupcake themed. Invented for the Notting Hill Shopping Bag Company, it was inspired for the celeb’s love of Portobello Road’s famous Hummingbird Bakery.

Another icon to draft a bag is Friend’s favourite Courteney Cox, who put her ingenuity to work to design a yoga bag to raise funds for women battling breast cancer.

The most famous celeb to show her fashion sense is none other than former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham. She has been acknowledged world-wide for her sophisticated and chic style in the high-end fashion industry. Not content with designing beautiful dresses, the wife of footballer David has offered her own twist on classic upscale handbags.

Furthermore, the wife of Britain’s PM Samantha Cameron revealed her trend know-how and flair by creating her very own luxury handbags. They bags even got a seal of approval by other celebrities who have been donning the bags on their arms since they went on sale.

Samantha showed everyone she isn’t just the wife of the Conservative Party leader by can also make a must-have accessory. Hollywood actresses Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jennifer Connelly have ordered the bag and the website were inundated with orders.

Celebs Who Love A Cup Of Tea

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

Suddenly it has become cool to be spotted with a steaming cup of aromatic tea and famous personalities are getting in on the action by declaring their love for the British cuppa.

Celebs you may not think of daintily drinking the favourite past-time beverage include former bad boy rockers Led Zeppelin, who in fact ordered a constant supply of herbal tea on a recent tour.

And the lead vocalist of the band is famous for carrying a mug of hot tea with honey around whilst on tour…let’s hope the singer was using Tea Cosies to ensure he didn’t get burnt!

It is no surprise that celeb singers drink tea as it is known for its herbal remedies for the throat.

It isn’t just singers though; supermodel Heidi Klum famously loves her tea and even went on a three hour tea date in London with her husband.

And even more star personalities drink the beverage for health purposes including Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow and Maggie Grace.

But the most well-known big-shot who is always spotted with a brew in her hands is no other than “Born This Way” star, Lady Gaga.

She’s been photographed a lot since her launch to fame walking around with a tea set that has a matching cup and saucer and she takes it literally everywhere with her to interviews and restaurants to even taking it on stage with her at 2010 Grammy awards; although the story behind the cup is ambiguous.

The American pop singer and songwriter told a newspaper the story behind her strange teacup obsession, explaining: “I used to have tea at home with my mother every day, you see.

“She hasn’t got a name but she’s quite famous now, so I made her stay in today. I take her everywhere because she makes me feel at home.”

She added: “I’ve made a habit of drinking out of china because it makes me feel grounded. I don’t think it’s a good lifestyle to always be eating and drinking out of paper. It’s very wasteful.”

The 24 year-old, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, apparently threw a fit not so long ago when she realised she had accidently left her tea set at a restaurant where she was dining.

An insider at the time said: “She kicked up a stink and demanded someone get her cup and saucer back. She wouldn’t drink out of anything else. It just looked like any other cup and saucer to me and said ‘Made in China’ on the bottom. It seemed a lot of fuss over nothing.”

And now the singer has got tea companies fighting it out to see who will get to sign her to an exclusive endorsement deal as brand ambassador.

We think it is fair to say apart from the Queen, Gaga is the most famous tea drinker in the world which is why we have found some perfectly fitting Cosies to suit her unique and bizarre fashion styles.

Celebs Who Love To Knit

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Let’s face it, we all love to flick through the magazines and look at our favourite celebrities and imitate their fabulous dress sense, well at least try on a high street budget.

Many stars have huge fan bases that idolise them and many teen celebs have young followers who copy their every move. The actors and singers are role models for these kids and so their behaviour is vital to ensure that the young girls and boys are not led down a negative path trying to be as famous as them.

But what if the average person next door wanted to copy their much-loved celebrity in the past-time of knitting?

It seems the ultimate fashion craze for 2011 is interweaving your own yarn and cloth, as shown by the infamous stars who have admitted to the media that they like to knit.

Style-icon and trend-setting model Georgia May Jagger has confessed that in her spare time she loves to knit.

The 19 year-old seems miles different from her rock star father Mick and model mum Jerry Hall in that she enjoys living the low-key life in New York by knitting in her downtime with her 26 year-old sister; admitting that she feels like an old woman.

And everybody’s favourite Friend’s actress Jennifer Aniston, 41, has revealed that she too loves the hobby; taking up knitting and creating hats and scarfs.

The celeb, which has recently starred alongside Adam Sandler in “Just Go With It”, was given some knitting equipment recently as a gift and is now making the most of her new interest to make new items for her wardrobe, such as a poncho.

She said: “I’ve been knitting a lot lately. My make-up artist gave me a basket of needles and yarn as a present and I just said, ‘Alright, I can do this. I did it in school.’ Now, I’m loving it.”

So who knows who else will jump on the fashion-knitting bad wagon next? Can you imagine Simon Cowell knitting a pair of gloves in his million pound mansion?

Or you can purchase one of our fantastic knitted Tea Cosies instead; it’s a lot quicker and probably better quality (no offence!)
