Celebrate Patriotism With Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Homeware Ranges

Monday, November 21st, 2011

Next year the UK is celebrating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

In June 2012, everyone across Britain will honour the 60-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II and Ulster Weavers will be rejoicing in the event too with our fabulous new Queen’s Diamond Jubilee ranges.

We can help you sing the praises of the Her Majesty The Queen and show patriotism for the Royal family with our traditional and contemporary homeware and textile collections.

The contemporary styles are brightly coloured and are a modern design twist to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Whereas the traditional design is pink and is a beautiful collection of kitchen co-ordinates and canvas bag as a remembrance.

The traditional range comes complete with matching cotton apron, double oven glove, bone china mug, tea cosy, shaped tea cosy, cotton bag and cotton tea towel. And the modern range includes cotton apron, double oven glove, bone china mug, cotton tea towel, medium canvas bags and tea cosy.

So what is the event all about?

There will be a special bank holiday for the Diamond Jubilee and schools in England and Wales will be able to close to take part in celebrations. A number of exhibitions will take place to pay tribute to the 60 years of The Queen on the throne and an official medal has been commissioned to mark the honour.

A Diamond Jubilee Pageant will take place at Windsor Castle and as part of the celebrations towns in the UK not only compete for city status but the communities are also being encouraged to hold street parties.

A new charitable Trust has been launched in honour of the special event and the Jubilee emblem design was chosen after a national children’s competition. The only other British monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897.

So demonstrate British pride and join in the festivities with our gorgeous ranges and visit the site today by clicking here.

Celebrate Loving Day With Ulster Weaver’s Love Ranges

Friday, June 10th, 2011

Celebrate the British holiday of Loving Day on 12th June this year with Ulster Weaver’s cute love ranges.

The commemoration stems back to a Supreme Court Ruling in 1967 which disbanded all laws that made mixed race marriages illegal.

Use the special day to show your loved ones how much you care by cooking a romantic meal for two. And go the whole extra mile by using homeware covered in love hearts such as Aprons, pot mitt and Tea Cosies.

Celebrate each other’s love for one another by taking the kids to the grandparents for the evening leaving the house quiet and free to light candles and enjoy the alone time together.

And as well as relationships, embrace the day by loving others outside of the family in the mission to fight prejudice through awareness, education and building multi-ethnicity communities.

The actual definition of love is a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person; and a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.

So check out Ulster Weavers adorable love ranges and spend the day without hatred or dislike.
