As far as weird and wacky goes this story really does take the biscuit…

A British designer has devised a tea pot that is made to look like a terrorist, in order to poke fun at the well-known British pass time of making tea.

The Terrorist Tea Pot, created by Jackie Pipier for SUCK UK, is a wry piece of ‘art’ to build juxtaposition between the terror image and the traditional sweet, flowery, prim tea pot.

Making cups of tea is often a concept made fun of for Brits as it is widely associated with us, with some websites explaining the best way to brew a ‘proper British cuppa.’

And it doesn’t help that there is even a United Kingdom Tea Council; stating that so far this year since Jan 1^st 2011, there has been 69,000,000 cups of tea consumed in the UK.

The designer is also a part of the Design Against Crime program at the University of the Arts, in London.

Alongside the tea pot, the designer has taken a stab at the warm and fuzzy British tea cosy with a terrorist balaclava tea cosy.

Maybe a terrorist tea cosy isn’t quite the appropriate present for your gran for her 80^th birthday this year!
